Welcome to the Gates of Ruin. This is a blog about the fan-made wargame Gates of Ruin. Ruin is set in the world of Advantia and consists of many powerful factions that vie for control of the world.
Welcome, brave commander...The time has come, the Nether Gate has been opened and the Darkspawn have entered Advantia. The Elves hide on their island in the south, The Illiath republic quarrels among themselves and The Protectorate Legion are busy fighting the necromantic forces of the Risen in the north. For balance to occur, one must either close the Nether gate or open the Aether Gate. However, in opening the Aether gate, the ruin gate's powers will weaken and untold powers may enter the world. The taint that engulfs Advantia can only be weakened or strengthened by you. Enter the world, Gather your army and fight!
